CLOSED EVENT | CORPORATE MEMBERS ONLY
In July 2024 the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) entered into force, becoming a reality for multinational corporations. Member States will have two years to transpose it into national law, and the rules will start to apply between 2027 and 2029, depending on headcount and turnover. Acknowledging the changing global and European context, the directive requires companies to actively address human rights and environmental risks within their own operations and throughout their entire value chains, both locally and internationally.
Building on CSR Europe's first three Ateliers of the "Due Diligence in Action" series, the fourth and final session will focus on monitoring and reporting obligations in the scope of the CSDDD. Following the examination of risk identification and assessment requirements, and the description of concrete practices for risk mitigation and impact remediation, delivered in the previous Atelier, this final webinar will offer a legislative overview and showcase companies’ practices for establishing effective monitoring and reporting processes for Sustainability Due Diligence efforts.
Additionally, as a conclusion of the 2024 Atelier series on Due Diligence, a presentation on the Human Rights Impact Pathway will be provided. The tool was designed by the London School of Economics and is meant to support companies in implementing robust due diligence practices.
